Treasure Chest - Modelling > UV > Texture


The first steps of this process involved cutting half a cylinder to make the chest top, and making edge loops which would be used later for extruding the surface which will have wood backwards.


Next, by selecting the entire object and extruding it inwards, you create a thickness to the object. That's necessary as wood and metal aren't as thin as paper. By selecting the faces at the bottom I was able to extrude it downwards, completing the body of the rest of the chest.
